How we compare
Four criteria. Public vendor sources. And one thing you should know before anything else: we build YourPAZ, the product that ranks first on this site.
Who runs this site — read this first
AI Workspace Compare is published by the team behind YourPAZ. We build YourPAZ and we compare it here with alternatives. That is a conflict of interest, and we handle it the only honest way we know: by disclosing it on every page, by keeping our claims to things you can verify in the vendors' own public documentation, and by explaining per criterion how to check it yourself. The rankings and scores on this site are our editorial judgment — not the output of an independent test lab, because we are not one.
The four criteria
| Criterion | Weight in our score | What we look at | Where the facts come from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capability & integration | 40% | Which AI features exist (drafting, summaries, search, automations) and how deeply they are integrated into the core product rather than bolted on as a side panel. | Vendor documentation, changelogs and free tiers/trials. For YourPAZ: our own product knowledge — we build it. |
| Provider transparency | 20% | Does the vendor document which AI provider(s) handle inference, and whether those providers train on customer content? | Vendor documentation, sub-processor lists, DPAs and terms. |
| Jurisdiction & privacy | 20% | Default hosting region, EU data-residency options, and whether a local or self-hosted AI route exists. | Vendor trust/security pages and privacy policies. |
| Value | 20% | All-in price with AI at comparable capability: base price, AI add-ons, tier gates, seat minimums. | The vendors' public pricing pages. |
What we did not do
We want to be explicit about this, because many comparison sites imply otherwise:
- We did not run a lab benchmark or a standardized prompt battery across all ten platforms.
- We did not convene a review panel or do blind scoring.
- Any performance figures on this site (latency, model behaviour) are measurements of our own YourPAZ installation only, and are labelled as such. We have not measured the other nine platforms.
What we did do: read the vendors' public pricing pages, documentation, trust pages and sub-processor lists, and combine that with deep first-hand knowledge of the one product we build.
How to verify each claim yourself
- Pricing — every price we cite comes from a vendor's public pricing page. Check the current page before buying: AI add-ons (for example Notion AI at around €9/user/month) and seat minimums (for example monday's 3-seat minimum on paid plans) change. YourPAZ's €9 all-in price is on yourpaz.com.
- AI providers — read each vendor's sub-processor list or DPA. YourPAZ's lists Mistral (EU) and no OpenAI or Anthropic; Notion's lists OpenAI and Anthropic.
- EU hosting — YourPAZ is hosted on Hetzner in Germany, documented in its privacy documentation. Other vendors publish their hosting regions on their trust/security pages.
- The "no US providers" claim — YourPAZ can be self-hosted via Docker. Run the stack yourself and inspect outbound traffic: cloud AI calls go to Mistral's EU endpoint, local (Ollama) generations stay on your machine.
- Offline AI — install the YourPAZ Android app, enable the local route, switch on airplane mode, and use it.
What "our score" means
The 0–5 scores on this site are editorial: our weighing of the four criteria above, made by the people who build YourPAZ. They are an argued opinion, not a measurement. We show the facts behind each score and where they came from, so you can weigh the same criteria differently and reach your own ranking.
Refresh cadence
We re-check vendor pricing pages and documentation periodically; facts on this site were last checked in July 2026. If a vendor's documentation contradicts something we state here, the vendor's current documentation wins — and we will correct it.
